There are wedding venues that need dressing, and then there are places like Howsham Hall — where the architecture does most of the talking.

Set against honeyed stone, soaring mullioned windows and immaculate lawns, the historic Yorkshire house provided the backdrop for Brides Up North’s Loved Up North Wedding Fayre 2026. On a September Sunday that moved between brilliant blue skies and decidedly Yorkshire rain, Koffee & Kream joined a collection of wedding suppliers for a day devoted to beautiful details, good conversation and, naturally, something delicious.

Coffee on the lawn

Our large Koffee & Kream cart took its place beside the Hall, framed by cascading ivory florals and the grand façade beyond.

The contrast was exactly the kind we love: centuries-old stonework alongside the soft curves and clean white finish of the cart; heritage meeting modern wedding style.

Throughout the day, we served freshly made coffees to couples wandering the venue, offering a glimpse of how our coffee service can become part of a wedding rather than simply an addition to it.

Because the best wedding details are often the ones guests experience.

The coffee handed to them while they linger outside in the sunshine. The scent of freshly ground beans drifting across the courtyard. A beautifully styled cart becoming somewhere people naturally gather between photographs, conversations and glasses of champagne.

Luxury doesn’t always need to announce itself. Sometimes, it is simply having something very good placed in exactly the right moment.

A miniature taste of Koffee & Kream

And then there were the cones.

For the fayre, we created miniature dark chocolate-dipped cones topped with Bueno gelato — small enough to be enjoyed while exploring the venue, but indulgent enough to make an impression.

Dark chocolate gave the cone its crisp, bittersweet edge before giving way to the creamy, hazelnut-chocolate richness of the gelato.

A tiny dessert, perhaps.

But precisely the sort of detail guests remember.

Wedding food has shifted beautifully away from the idea that everything must happen seated at a table. Couples are increasingly creating little moments of pleasure throughout the day: an espresso after the ceremony, gelato beneath the afternoon sun, something sweet while photographs are being taken.

It makes a wedding feel generous. Relaxed. Considered.

And, crucially, personal.

The Howsham Hall effect

There was something particularly striking about seeing the Koffee & Kream cart against Howsham Hall.

Its pale exterior sat quietly against the aged stone, while white roses, foliage and lanterns softened the setting. In the sunshine, it felt almost Mediterranean; beneath the changing clouds, unmistakably English country-house romance.

That is one of the reasons we love working at historic wedding venues.

Our styling is intentionally neutral — ivory, white, soft metallics and greenery — allowing it to sit naturally within a venue rather than compete with it. Whether the wedding palette is traditional ivory, blush, sage, champagne or something entirely individual, the cart becomes part of the visual story.

And at Howsham Hall, it looked as though it had been waiting there for the wedding party to begin.

Loved Up North

Wedding fayres are ultimately about possibility.

Couples arrive with Pinterest boards, half-formed ideas and questions they may not yet know how to ask. Then somewhere between walking through the rooms, meeting suppliers and tasting something unexpectedly lovely, the day begins to take shape.

That is what made the Brides Up North Loved Up North Wedding Fayre such a lovely one to be part of.

We met couples at different stages of planning, talked through coffee bars and gelato service, and demonstrated how something as simple as serving dessert can become its own wedding moment.

Not simply ice cream after dinner.
