Loved Up North at Howsham Hall: A Wedding Fayre Made for Indulgence
There are wedding venues that need dressing, and then there are places like Howsham Hall — where the architecture does most of the talking.
High above the Lancashire landscape, The Marquee at Hurstwood sits amongst rolling fields and enormous skies. It is the sort of setting that changes character with the weather — sometimes sun-drenched, others romantically moody and fit for a bronte novel. For Sophie and Mitchell’s August wedding, the clouds rolled in, the hills disappeared beneath a soft grey haze and the whole scene took on an unexpectedly cinematic quality.
Bespoke. Handmade. Personalised. Immaculately presented.
Hospitality is changing.
Modern couples, businesses and event hosts aren’t simply looking for something to serve their guests anymore. They’re looking for experiences — something beautifully presented, thoughtfully considered and personal enough to feel as though it was created specifically for their occasion.
At Koffee & Kream, that’s exactly where we’re heading.
After years of serving weddings, corporate events and private celebrations across Yorkshire, we’ve refined what we believe truly memorable pop-up hospitality should look like.
Handmade products. Bespoke menus. Personal service. Immaculate presentation. Exceptional attention to detail. And a completely seamless experience from set-up to clean-up.
We’re changing the pop-up coffee and refreshment game in West Yorkshire.
Bespoke, Never Standard
We don’t believe beautiful events should be served from a one-size-fits-all menu.
Our approach begins with the occasion.
For a wedding, that might mean handmade gelato created in flavours specifically requested by the couple, personalised wafers bearing their initials, carefully selected toppings and beautiful miniature desserts.
For a corporate event, it could mean a curated coffee and refreshment menu, iced drinks, gelato or details designed around the brand, season or guests.
For an intimate private celebration, we can create a miniature café, gelateria or dessert experience that exists just for that afternoon or evening.
We can consider flavours, ingredients, dietary requirements, presentation and the little finishing touches that make the experience feel individual.
Because to us, bespoke means genuinely bespoke — not simply changing the sign.
Handmade, With Attention to Ingredients
What goes into what we serve matters just as much as how it looks.
We love working with handmade gelato and desserts, and when we’re creating something bespoke, we pay attention to the ingredients and details that make a flavour what it is.
If you’ve imagined pieces of your favourite chocolate running through your wedding gelato, tell us.
If there is a particular flavour you would love recreated, ask.
If dietary requirements are important to your guests, we want to consider them thoughtfully rather than treating them as an afterthought.
It’s this attention to the product itself that allows us to create something that feels personal from the first conversation to the first scoop.
The Details Make the Experience
We believe luxury is often found in the smallest details.
A personalised wafer nestled into a scoop of gelato.
Fresh flowers on the cart.
A beautiful miniature dessert.
The ingredients chosen specifically to complement a flavour.
The correct alternative milk already waiting for a guest.
The way the cups, spoons, toppings and menu are presented.
A freshly pulled espresso made properly, rather than coffee poured from an urn.
Individually, they’re small things.
Collectively, they completely change the experience.
Attention to detail isn’t an optional extra at Koffee & Kream. It’s part of the service.
Immaculate Presentation, Every Time
Events are visual.
Whether we’re joining an intimate wedding in a beautiful Yorkshire venue or creating a hospitality pop-up within a corporate space, we understand that everything we bring becomes part of the environment our client has carefully created.
So presentation matters enormously.
Our carts and service areas are styled to feel clean, elegant and considered, with our signature neutral aesthetic designed to complement rather than compete with the occasion.
And that standard doesn’t stop once service begins.
We want the experience to look as beautiful for the last guest as it did for the first.
Because the service itself should feel every bit as polished as the products we’re serving.
Personal Service for Personal Occasions
Perhaps the most important part of this new direction for Koffee & Kream isn’t actually the gelato, coffee or desserts.
It’s the hospitality.
As so much of modern life becomes automated and transactional, we want to bring personality back into intimate events.
We want to know our couples and clients.
We want to understand what they’ve imagined.
And when we’re there, we want their guests to feel genuinely looked after.
We chat while we scoop. We help someone decide between two flavours. We remember the guest who comes back for another cappuccino. We make recommendations. We take care with dietary requirements. We make the children feel special.
It’s warm, intuitive and genuinely personal service.
Not simply serving guests — hosting them.
An Experience, Not Just a Service
A traditional refreshment station is functional.
We want ours to become part of the event.
Guests can watch their coffee being prepared, browse the gelato flavours, choose their toppings, personalise their dessert and come back later for something else.
That interaction creates movement and conversation.
For weddings, it offers modern couples an alternative to the traditional plated dessert — something more interactive, bespoke and personal.
For businesses, it transforms a standard coffee break into a hospitality experience.
For private celebrations, it creates a little destination within the event where guests naturally gather.
We aren’t simply delivering refreshments. We’re creating a moment.
More Than Coffee
Coffee will always be at the heart of Koffee & Kream.
But today, we’re much more than coffee.
Our pop-up experiences can combine barista-made speciality coffee, iced drinks, handmade gelato, sorbet and desserts, allowing us to create something around the time of day, season and occasion.
Morning cappuccinos can become afternoon gelato.
A wedding breakfast can finish with bespoke dessert and freshly pulled espresso.
A corporate event can move from coffee to iced drinks as the day progresses.
One beautiful set-up can become an entire hospitality experience.
Seamless From Arrival to Clean-Up
True hospitality isn’t only about what the guest sees.
It’s also about everything they don’t have to see.
For our clients and venues, we want the entire process to feel effortless.
We arrive with everything required, carefully set up and style our service area, prepare for your guests and manage the hospitality throughout the agreed service.
And when we’re finished?
We pack everything away and clean up after ourselves, leaving the space as we found it.
No complicated set-up for the client.
No pile of equipment to deal with afterwards.
No unnecessary disruption to the venue.
From arrival through service to final clean-up, our aim is to make the entire experience seamless.
You enjoy your event.
We’ll take care of our part of it.
A Modern Approach to Weddings
We’re particularly excited about the way modern couples are approaching their weddings.
Traditions are becoming choices rather than rules.
And dessert is a perfect example.
Instead of automatically choosing a plated dessert, couples are increasingly looking for something more interactive — an experience that can be personalised around them and enjoyed differently by every guest.
Bespoke handmade gelato.
Personalised wafers.
Carefully chosen toppings.
Beautiful bite-sized desserts.
Barista-made coffee.
Immaculate presentation.
And genuine interaction with the people serving it.
It’s relaxed without being casual and luxurious without feeling overly formal.
For us, that represents a much more modern kind of wedding hospitality.
Created for Brands & Corporate Events
The same philosophy translates beautifully into the corporate world.
A coffee break doesn’t need to mean an urn and a stack of cups in the corner of a conference room.
A staff celebration doesn’t need to mean food being dropped at reception.
Whether it’s a brand activation, client event, office celebration, launch or employee experience, we can create a temporary hospitality space that feels considered and professionally delivered.
Beautiful products draw people in.
Great hospitality makes them stay.
Proudly West Yorkshire
West Yorkshire is home, and we’re incredibly excited about developing this next chapter of Koffee & Kream here.
We want to give couples, venues, businesses and event planners access to something that sits somewhere between traditional catering and luxury hospitality.
The flexibility of a pop-up.
The quality and presentation of a premium venue.
And the warmth and attention you’d expect from an independent business that genuinely cares about the event.
Local. Personal. Beautifully considered.
The Koffee & Kream Difference
So, what are we changing?
We’re making pop-up hospitality more bespoke.
We’re choosing handmade wherever possible.
We’re creating experiences that can be personalised down to the smallest details.
We’re paying attention to ingredients as well as presentation.
We’re maintaining an immaculate service environment.
We’re bringing back warm, personal hospitality.
And we’re making the practical side effortless, with seamless arrival, set-up, service and clean-up handled by us.
It isn’t about making hospitality more complicated.
Quite the opposite.
We take care of the details so our clients don’t have to.
A New Era of Event Hospitality
For us, this is the next chapter of Koffee & Kream.
Bespoke, never standard.
An experience, not just a service.
Personal, never impersonal.
Beautifully presented, down to the smallest detail.
And always much more than coffee.
We’re rethinking the way events are served — one beautifully curated pop-up at a time.

Koffee & Kream — Event ExperiencesGelato • Coffee • DessertsIndulge. Sip. Celebrate.
For Emma and Felix, dessert wasn’t simply the final course. It was an experience — created especially for them.
There is a quiet shift happening in modern weddings.
Couples are moving away from traditions simply because they are traditions, and instead choosing elements that feel more personal, more experiential and unmistakably theirs.
And increasingly, that includes dessert.
At Koffee & Kream, we’re seeing gelato become the preferred alternative to the traditional wedding breakfast dessert for modern couples — an opportunity to step away from the table, interact, choose and indulge in something thoughtfully designed around them.
For Emma and Felix’s beautiful wedding at Hornington Manor, that meant a completely bespoke gelato, dessert and coffee experience, created to the bride’s own brief.
Five Flavours, Created for One Wedding
Emma knew exactly the flavours she wanted.
Rather than asking her to select from a predetermined wedding menu, we arranged for five bespoke flavours to be handmade especially for the celebration:
Ferrero Rocher
Mango Sorbet
Pistachio with Dubai Chocolate
Cherries & Cream
Lemon Cheesecake
And when we say bespoke, we really do mean it.
During the planning, Emma and I discussed the finer details of her handmade Ferrero Rocher gelato. She specifically wanted the gelato to include pieces of Ferrero Rocher throughout, rather than simply recreating the flavour — so we made sure that was part of the finished recipe.
It’s a small distinction, perhaps, but exactly the kind of detail that matters to us. If a bride has imagined something particular for her wedding dessert, we want the finished product to feel as close to that vision as possible.
We carried the idea through to the presentation too, adding whole Ferrero Rochers as a topping for guests to enjoy with their scoops. Unsurprisingly, they proved incredibly popular on the day.
The final menu felt considered rather than conventional.
Rich, textured Ferrero Rocher sat alongside refreshing Mango Sorbet; Cherries & Cream and Lemon Cheesecake brought a nostalgic dessert quality, while Pistachio with Dubai Chocolate added something distinctly contemporary.
Because for us, bespoke should mean more than adding two names and a wedding date.
It should begin with what the couple actually wants to eat — right down to the ingredients and finishing touches.
The Details Make the Dessert
The flavours were only the starting point.
We carefully considered the accompaniments, choosing toppings and desserts that would complement Emma’s menu rather than simply filling a display.
There were fresh cherries to complement Cherries & Cream, whole Ferrero Rochers alongside the handmade Rocher-filled gelato, our signature strawberry macarons, and authentic Dubai chocolate finished with gold dust, paired beautifully with the pistachio.
We also served our bite-sized vegan and low-gluten brownie cupcake bites, topped with raspberry cream and finished with a delicate sprinkle of freeze-dried raspberry.
And then there are the smallest details — the ones we believe make an event feel truly personal.
Our personalised wafers, created for the couple, transformed even a simple scoop of gelato into something unmistakably belonging to Emma and Felix’s wedding.
Because luxury, to us, isn’t about adding more.
It’s about paying attention.
The Modern Alternative to a Plated Wedding Dessert
When the main course was finished, guests weren’t presented with an identical dessert at their place setting.
They came to us.
They looked through the flavours. They chose their gelato. They considered the toppings. They chatted. They changed their minds. They came back to try something else.
And suddenly, dessert became one of those wonderfully informal moments within a beautifully planned wedding day.
That interaction is precisely why so many of our couples are choosing Koffee & Kream in place of a traditional wedding breakfast dessert.
A plated dessert is served.
An interactive dessert experience gives guests something to do.
It brings movement into the room, creates conversation and allows every guest to create something slightly different.
For couples creating weddings that prioritise experience over convention, it feels like a natural evolution.
Bespoke Means Personal
Personalisation has become one of the defining characteristics of the modern wedding, but we think there is a difference between something being personalised and something being genuinely personal.
We want to know what you love.
And then we want to know the details.
Do you want pieces of your favourite chocolate running through the gelato? Is there a particular ingredient that makes the flavour your flavour? Would you like a topping that carries the idea through? Is there a dietary requirement we can thoughtfully incorporate rather than simply offering an alternative on the side?
We think about which toppings complement each flavour. We consider the ingredients, textures and presentation. We create personalised wafers and finishing touches that connect the entire experience back to the couple.
Emma’s Ferrero Rocher gelato is a perfect example: from discussing the pieces within the handmade gelato itself to serving whole Rochers alongside it, one request became a carefully considered part of the overall experience.
That, to us, is bespoke hospitality.
Personality Back on the Menu
There is another reason we love serving wedding breakfast dessert this way.
We get to meet your guests.
We talk while we scoop. We help someone deliberate between two flavours. We remember the guest who returns for another coffee. We make recommendations. We laugh with the children who want everything on theirs.
At intimate weddings in particular, that human element matters.
As hospitality becomes increasingly streamlined, automated and impersonal, Koffee & Kream is deliberately moving in the opposite direction.
We want beautiful carts and immaculate presentation, of course.
But we also want warmth, conversation and personality.
Personal service for personal celebrations.
And Then, Coffee
For Emma and Felix, the experience didn’t end with dessert.
Alongside their bespoke gelato menu, we served freshly prepared barista coffees, hot chocolate and hot drinks, allowing guests to order exactly what they fancied as they relaxed after their wedding breakfast.
And there were some definite favourites.
Hot chocolate, cappuccino and freshly pulled double espresso proved especially popular with the guests — from something rich and comforting to accompany dessert, to that much-needed hit of proper espresso before the celebrations continued.
There is something wonderfully indulgent about finishing a wedding breakfast with gelato created especially for the occasion and then ordering a freshly made coffee exactly as you like it.
The result felt less like a conventional catered dessert course and more like discovering a beautifully styled little café and gelateria within the wedding itself.
It was relaxed without feeling casual.
Interactive without losing elegance.
And luxurious without being formal.
A New Kind of Wedding Dessert
Emma and Felix’s wedding at Hornington Manor represents exactly where we see wedding hospitality heading.
Not necessarily bigger.
More thoughtful.
Modern couples are increasingly questioning the parts of a wedding that have traditionally been prescribed for them and asking a much more interesting question:
What would we actually love?
For dessert, that might mean five gelato flavours created to your own brief.
Your favourite chocolate, with pieces folded through the gelato exactly as you imagined.
A flavour inspired by somewhere you travelled together.
Personalised wafers bearing your names.
Beautiful toppings selected specifically to complement your menu.
Ingredients considered down to the smallest detail.
A dietary requirement treated as part of the experience rather than an inconvenient alternative.
And a freshly pulled double espresso, cappuccino or hot chocolate made to order while you decide whether there’s room for one more scoop.
Most importantly, it means somebody behind the cart who genuinely cares about making your guests feel looked after.
That is the kind of wedding hospitality we want to create.
Interactive. Bespoke. Personal. Beautifully considered.
Thank you, Emma and Felix, for allowing Koffee & Kream to create your wedding breakfast dessert — and for trusting us with all those delicious little details.
